Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of algorithms.live, operated by SyntaxReady. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Your use of the site is also covered by our Privacy Policy.

algorithms.live is an educational platform offering interactive visualizations, quizzes, curriculum paths, a system design canvas, a code visualizer, and an AI study assistant, covering algorithms and data structures, machine learning, system design, databases, and AI engineering.

Much of the platform is free. Some features require a paid subscription or are subject to fair-use limits. We may add, change, or retire features over time.

You need an account for progress tracking, saved work, and programs. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

If you sign in with Google, you are also bound by Google’s own terms for that account. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy the platform’s content, or resell it.
• Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or rate limits, including by automating the AI assistant.
• Upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Cheat in a program or assessment, including submitting work that is not yours or impersonating another participant.
• Use the platform to build a directly competing product.

You own what you make. System designs, generated visualizations, code you paste in, and program submissions remain yours.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the platform and showing it back to you. If you deliberately share something using a public share link, you are making it viewable by anyone who has that link, and you grant us permission to serve it to them.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not paste confidential or proprietary code that you are not permitted to share.

The in-app assistant is powered by a third-party language model. Its output is generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. Treat it as a study aid, not as authoritative instruction, and verify anything important before you rely on it, especially in interviews or production systems.

Do not send the assistant confidential information, credentials, or personal data about other people. Messages are forwarded to our model provider to generate a reply, as described in our Privacy Policy. Usage is subject to daily fair-use limits.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the price and interval shown at checkout, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects your renewal.

If something goes wrong with a charge, contact us at contact@syntaxready.com and we will look at it in good faith.

Organizations can run scholarship and hackathon programs on the platform. Each program sets its own eligibility rules, deadlines, judging criteria, and prizes, and the organization running it is responsible for those rules and for awarding any prize. By applying, you agree that the organizers and judges may view your application, assessment result, team, and submission. Judging decisions are theirs, not ours.

The visualizations, written explanations, quizzes, curriculum, code, and design of algorithms.live are owned by SyntaxReady and protected by intellectual property law. You may use them for your own learning and teaching. You may not republish, redistribute, or sell them without our written permission.

The platform relies on third-party services, and links to external resources for further reading. We do not control those services or sites, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

algorithms.live is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We work hard on accuracy, but we do not warrant that the content is free of errors, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet any particular requirement. Nothing here is professional advice, and using the platform does not guarantee any job, interview outcome, or certification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SyntaxReady is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data, arising from your use of the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, abuses the service, or puts other users at risk. You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
